Hello! I’m Allana MacKenzie and I’ve been photographing people for 8 years. I always have a hard time telling people about my ‘job’ because I truly love photography and it’s never felt like work. It’s always been an outlet for me and capturing the love & presence of other humans has truly been the most humbling experience. I hope to extend that and give you the best experience in front of the lens.

I know that there’s a lot of photographers who can capture your day and deliver beautiful photos. I want to do more than that. I want to create and nourish a space for you to be yourselves. A space that allows you to enjoy our time together with confidence in yourselves and trust in me. Let’s forget about all the poses and ‘perfect’ photos. Let’s create something that authentically documents this season of your life- big or small.

Outside of photography, I enjoy reading, soaking up sunshine, learning whatever I can about whatever I’m currently obsessed with, spending time with my wifey. Otherwise, I’m probably trying to corral my four crazy fur babies.

My philosophy with photography is simple. I don’t create for, I create with. Anyone can pick up a camera and take a ‘pretty’ photo. Hell, the cameras on our phones do a pretty damn good job. This is about so much MORE than that. What matters is that you come out of this experience loving each other even more. What matters are those goosebumps when you touch, those cheek hurting grins, how their eyes shine when they look at you. Thank you for being here and trusting me with this.
